Chief Wahoo is the racist symbol of the Cleveland Indians baseball franchise. Steve brought these peanuts home the other day, because he likes Hampton Farms peanuts. He said they were the worst peanuts he ever tasted. He couldn’t figure out why they were different from the peanuts he buys in regular Hampton Farms packaging. I tasted them and he was right. They didn’t even taste like peanuts – more like cooked vegetable oil. He, of course won’t buy them again.
It’s hard to understand why a company would trademark a racist symbol, and then another company – Hampton Farms – would contract with the Cleveland Indians to put that racist symbol on their package of peanuts.
