PRODUCT REVIEW OF GO MAX GO VEGAN CANDY BARS
If you let the word vegan throw you off kilter, you’ll be missing out on a treat of a life-time.
How one company could engineer 7 candy bars, reminiscent of the bars we all grew up with as kids – Almond Joy, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Clark Bar, Nestle’s Crunch, Snicker’s, Milky Way and 3 Muskateer’s is flat-out miracle material.
But then to make them vegan, plus free of hydrogenated oils, trans fats, artificial ingredients, and cholesterol was staggering. I mean, come on, so many restrictions, and still to create something so delicious is simply off the charts of normal. I’m no slouch in the creativity department, but my goodness – I am not only in awe, but simply knowing that they exist and knowing what they’re capable of doing with food, raised my levels of hope and optimism through the roof for a better future for the entire planet!
Before I actually tried them, I gave some out around town – places where Steve and I hang out – mostly to non-vegans. Even though the initial reaction to being vegan was skeptical, it quickly changed to surprise. The views ranged from, that’s good, that’s really good, wow, that’s great, to I love it.
It wasn’t till I actually tasted them, that I noticed something familiar about them. I kept telling Steve, gee this tastes like something I’ve had before. Well, then I realized.
A funny thing. I gave Steve a few to take to work to give to the people he works with to get their opinion. When he got home I asked if he gave them out. He said no, I couldn’t do that. I said, did you eat them? He shook his head yes, as if to say how could you possibly think that I would give those away? lol.
If we both had 10 thumbs, they’d all be up!
Check out their website for more info. You’ll be glad you did!
I subsequently developed 2 recipes using the candy bars. Check them out too.
