I have creamer in my coffee once a week, when Steve makes it for me, on our Sunday off, which really is Tuesday.

Last week he brought this creamer home and as coffee creamers go I like it. My first thought, of course, is always what else can I use it for?

It’s a small container, so much else besides coffee. Nobody seems to want to make a creamer for savory dishes, other than Rich’s, which isn’t sold many places and is always frozen, and there’s nothing wrong with frozen, but sometimes I think if their sales don’t pick up I might be without a creamer altogether.

Farm Rich that used to sell in Ohio sold out and the people they sold to discontinued the product. No more nondairy creamer in quarts.

What’s an animal-free chef to do?

Make my own.
