Steve’s Sweet Chili w/no chili powder
That’s how Steve likes it – no chili powder – so that’s how I cook it, but with all the other good things in chili! Beans, beefless ground, mushrooms, tomatoes, herbs and spices! Don’t forget the liquid smoke to make you feel like you cooked this over an open wood fire!
Makes 14 cups
2 T. extra virgin olive oil
13.7 oz. GARDEIN Ultimate Beefless Ground, frozen is okay
28 oz. can stewed tomatoes
28 oz. can Italian Sauce
DR WT 1 lb. FOUR SEASONS MUSHROOMS STEMS AND PIECES including liquid from can
22 oz. can BUSH’S GRILLIN’ BEANS STEAKHOUSE RECIPE
salt and pepper to taste
1 T. liquid smoke
1-1/2 t. garlic powder
1-1/2 t. onion powder
1 t. fine grind fennel seed
1 t. dried basil
1 t. dried oregano
14.75 oz. whole kernel corn – juice only (that’s Steve, sometimes he only wants the juice from the veggies)
16 oz. can peas – juice only
1- In large soup pot, over medium heat, in 2 Tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, fry beefless ground till tender to your liking.
2- Add remaining ingredients, stirring after each addition.

Notes: What we do with the peas and corn? Give them to Lilly Belle our dog daughter- she loves them.
